LEVEL 1/ BEGINNER
Level 1/ Beginner classes guide the student slowly through basic yoga asanas (postures). The class is suitable for the beginner, or the seasoned practitioner. Focus will be on safety and alignment to ensure the beginner student feels more comfortable and familiar with common yoga postures.
The teacher will demonstrate the posture, and then guide you through the pose. Sanskrit terms as well as the English translations will be offered when calling out the poses.
Modifications are offered for all poses if needed.
Learn to align the body for maximum benefit of the pose
Learn how to use the props and why will be offered
Learn to adapt the pose to meet your needs
The teacher may make hands on adjustments.
Learn simple breathing techniques
As a safety precaution be sure to inform the instructor of any health issues as in Osteoporosis, Glaucoma, Hip Replacements, High or Low Blood pressure, etc so modifications can be made.
