For the hips to function well and without pain, the pelvis should be balanced. When the pelvis is asymmetrical, or tipped forward or backward, the hip joints bear extra weight and the sacroiliac joints become compressed. Many muscles begin to tighten and become locked to protect the body. A whole host of physical challenges and chronic pain - from shoulder, hip and low back pain to joint injury and deterioration - can be found with basic imbalances in the alignment of the pelvic girdle. This workshop class will introduce many practices to restore pelvic alignment and balance the hips. All levels.
